Welcome to the all-new TimelyTwisted!
Hey there people, sorry that some of you had problems accessing this blog in the past few days.
The previous template I used had several problems and appeared distorted on some browsers.
Therefore, I needed time to overhaul this blog with a new template. I am grateful that I found this one online, but I made several modifications to it (i.e. the header image, the blog title colour and the layout). I am happy with the present look of TimelyTwisted, it looks simple yet refreshing. I think primarily it is because of the white background.
Also, if you have already noticed, previous posts from TimelyTwisted have been removed. They are now stored on a dummy TimelyTwisted site, www.timelytwistedtoo.blogspot.com. This blog is not accessible to public.
Unlike my friend Azhan, this is not due to stalking whatsoever. I simply think previous entries posted on TimelyTwisted took too much of a turn revolving about my life, rather than my thoughts. When I first had the idea of TimelyTwisted I just wanted it to be a place where I write good pieces of short essays incorporating my never-ending ideas. But like all writers, we sometimes just do not know how to start(commonly known as a writer's block), and that during these times I kind of drifted and wrote for the sake of writing which focused too much on my life issues. I know this is a personal blog, where some of you would want to read on my life issues - but my argument is that I wrote too much on my life issues and neglected writing my ideas out. So this time, I plan to balance out both. I do not want the When Drama Plays On A Boy incident to happen again. I do not want unnecessary back-talks.
In the name of those excuses, here I present to you the all-new TimelyTwisted. I have a few issues that still need fixes, so I request for your ultimate patience. Things don't happen overnight.
I do hope that you enjoy this new concept and the overall experience. Should you experience any problem in having this blog displayed properly, please do inform me. I will try my best to look into it.
Meanwhile these are the new features of TimelyTwisted:
• Functional read more option (therefore entries in the main blog site will only feature excerpts of the full blog entries).
• Change in blog network links (they now feature titles of the blogs rather than blog owners' names)
• There is no About The Blog Author excerpt or my profile picture on the main page anymore, this information can now be obtained by clicking the About Me link at the top most of this blog
• Posts are now published under the name Faris Ahmad rather than Riz. They are also signed off with "Faris Ahmad." and no longer feature the wordings "Lots of Love"
• The link Previous Blogs on the old TimelyTwisted layout has now been renamed to My Previous Scribblings and this can be accessed at the top most links bar.
• Support My Causes link has been added, and a dedicated page for this is under construction. I have combined my old cause (on When Drama Plays on A Boy) "Campaign Towards Breast Cancer Awareness" along with my present "HIV/AIDS Cause". These are the two causes that I will support for the time being as they hold issues close to me.
• Links to blogs or websites belonging to celebrities, personalities, corporate entities, non-profit and non-governmental organisations are now posted under one category. They can be found on the Good Links section at the left-hand side of this blog.
• There is no longer a stats counter, and I have cease applying third-party widgets to detect my visitors. I simply feel there is no point in doing so. You are always welcomed to read my posts. Likewise, you are also always welcomed to leave if you do not like me or my thoughts.
• I have started using labels again for my entries, just like what I used to do on When Drama Plays on A Boy.
• The above header image is used with permission. The image's original owner is sparktography on Flickr. This header would be my primary header at most times, however, I might upload occasion-related headers during festivities. All headers featured would be black & white in colour.
Faris Ahmad.
